The New York Americans (also known as the Amerks) franchise was The Big Apple's first professional hockey team. The Amerks enjoyed their finest season in 1937-38 when they won a franchise record nineteen games while making it all the way to the semi-finals during the playoffs.
After the season, the delicate 10k rolled gold plated timepiece offered here was presented to the team's trainer, Tommy Bell, for his contributions to the club. The case back is lovingly inscribed, "To Tommy Bell from the Boys of the New York Amerks '37. '38" and appears in appears in EX condition. Early NHL relics are both rare and highly coveted by collectors.
