During the 1934 "Tour of Japan" numerous advertising posters were created to celebrate the event and promote the arrival of all of the great American Baseball players to Asia. These advertising posters are among the rarest and most unique artifacts relating to this historic event. This scarce newspaper supplement has become impossible to find and one of the nicest we have seen in terms of condition. This 10.25 x 15" black and white poster features all of the participating athletes posing for camera. The front row shows all of the Japanese participants along with each players name is written in Japanese below. The back row of this outstanding image highlights the American players with Connie Mack right in the center. Each American has his facsimile signature above and interestingly enough, Mo Berg has his name written in Japanese too. Other Americans that participated in this event and that are featured in this image are Babe Ruth, Jimmy Foxx, Lou Gehrig, Lefty Gomez, Charlie Gerhinger, Earl Averill, Bing Miller, Earl Whitehill, Frank Hayes, Rabbit McNair, Hal Warstler, Joe Casacarella, Clint Brown, Lefty Odoul and John Quinn.
