1) Exceptional 1930's Mimatsu Baseball store advertising poster. Unlike anything we have seen. Historically interesting find.  k45Dates from circa 1920's. Style pure arts and crafts. Great use of primary colors, plus brown that gives the poster a wonderful, stylized comic book look. Has a crude, colorful elegance that bespeaks its Japanese roots. Very similar to classic Spalding logo. Brass hanging bar top and bottom. Base ball as two words speaks to how early it is.  21x31.5".

2) Fascinating smaller roster sheet is written in both Japanese and English, and it lists 7 Hall of Fame players for the U.S. team: Lou Gehrig, Rabbit Maranville, Lefty Grove, Al Simmons, Frankie Frisch, Mickey Cochrane and George Kelly. Interestingly, the American players are listed by their given names, so Lou Gehrig becomes Henry, Rabbit Maranville becomes Walter, Lefty Grove becomes Robert, and Mickey Cochrane becomes Gordon.  7.5x10"

3) Large roster sheet reads, "Nov. 17 2 p.m. - Japan versus U.S. Baseball Match". Large roster sheet is rice paper and is mended with conservation tape. The game was played in Matsumato City, and the U.S. team won 15-0.  7.5x21.5"
