The Olympics returned home to Greece in 2004 where the tradition of competition began thousands of years ago. Presented is the universal symbol of those and every preceding Game ever held, the Olympic Torch. A much more modern take on the original, this model offers a sleek steel and wood outershell which houses a small butane burner to ensure the flames life. Printed on the brushed silver portion is the Olympic logo and "Athens 2004" (in Greek), along with an image of the olive branch crown once awarded to the victors during the ancient games. Intended for use, though never lit, it exists in NRMT condition.
