Early image of the famed Olympian and one of the greatest athletes of all time. Taken while he was still at Ohio State University, during the same year in which during a span of 45 minutes on May 25, 1935 at the Big Ten Conference meet in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he tied the record for the 100 yard dash and set world records in the long jump, 220 yard dash, and the 220 yard low hurdles.
