Presented is a 1966 Rusty Staub Houston Astros signed game worn jersey. A Wilson size 46 tag is sewn to the front left tail of this early Astros jersey. "66" is embroidered beneath the tag, which indicates that this jersey is from the 1966 season. "S. H." is written next to the "66" in faded maker, and "H" is written next to the Wilson tag. The "H" is also faded. "ASTROS" is sewn across the chest of the jersey, below a shooting star logo. The team's name and logo are orange and blue. There is also an orange and blue Astros logo on the left sleeve. Number 10 is sewn to the back of the jersey, and the numbers are dark blue with a thin orange outline. The mostly cream-colored jersey shows excellent signs of use, and Staub signed the inside neck area with blue ink. This jersey was sourced from the Barry Halper collection, and it includes a tag attached to the front of the jersey that reads, "The Barry Halper Collection of Baseball Memorabilia/Sotheby's." Rusty Staub began his MLB career in 1963 for the Colt 45's. In 1965, the Colt 45's changed their name to the Astros, meaning that this jersey is from the Astros' second year in existence.
