Presented is an Al Lopez signed Hutch catcher's mitt. A Hall of Fame manager, Lopez was a Major League catcher from 1928 to 1947 for the Brooklyn Robins/Dodgers, Boston Bees, and Pittsburgh Pirates of the National League and for the Cleveland Indians of the American League. The 2-time All-Star batted a career .261 and was known for his defensive prowess. He managed the AL 1954 Cleveland Indians and the 1959 Chicago White Sox to pennants. He was known for his calm managerial approach as he calmly corrected any player errors, and he was renowned as a superb instructor. Etched on the mitt: LOPEZ MODEL/GENUINE COWHIDE/Inner Processed palm/HUTCH Cincinnati 246. The mitt is in EXCELLENT condition. The mitt has a 9/10 hand-signed, black fine tip marker autograph of Al Lopez on the upper portion of the padding.
