The check, drawn on the Chemical Bank & Trust Company of New York, is made out to "Seaboard Air Line" in the amount of $50.00. Signed "G. H. Ruth" in black fountain pen (grading 7/10) along the base. Ruth's name is printed along the left border. A handwritten endorsement appears on the reverse. The check (8.5x3.25"), which has both bank cancellation stamps and holes, displays a vertical fold, two staple holes in the center, and a spindle hole.
