Original Type I photograph capturing Mel Ott and Freddie Lindstrom in 1926, with the portrait images of both players later used in the production of their respective 1930 Baguer Chocolate cards (Cuban issue). Both players are pictured in uniform as members of the New York Giants while they pose together in front of the dugout. As noted in the text of the original Wide World Photos news caption on the reverse, dated 5-28-26, Ott was just eighteen years old at the time and playing in his rookie season. Lindstrom, who was in his second full season, was not much older, just twenty-years old. Little did anyone realize at the time that both players would become top stars and later be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The photo (7.75x5.75") remains in Excellent condition. Encapsulated as Type I Authentic by PSA. Accompanied by a full LOA from PSA.
