Duplicate glass negative capturing Ty Cobb as a member of the Philadelphia Athletics. The action shot pictures Cobb as he slides into third base while the opposing player attempts to make the tag. Cobb played with the Athletics in 1927 and '28; however, during that two-year period, the uniform style shown here was worn by the A's only in 1927. The negative (7x5") displays a strip of black tape along both the right and bottom borders and is otherwise in Excellent condition.
