Nice pair of vintage hardcover books signed by a pair of giants of American literature. Sinclair Lewis has placed his 7/10 black ink signature on the first blank page inside the cover of this 1933 copy of Ann Vickers. Book shows wear consistent with its age with some fading to the cover and toning at the edge of pages, however, the book is fully intact in remains in VG-EX condition. Lewis was a prolific novelist and social commentator who won the 1930 Nobel Prize for Literature. A.A. Milne has signed the title page of his 1931 novel Two People in 7/10 black ink. Dust jacket is present including the plastic wrap, the paper shows some wear and tearing at the edges, inside cover flap is detached. Book pages show some yellowing from time but all pages are attached and the book remains in VG-EX condition. Milne was best known as a novelist and playwright, and this book dates from five years after he created the ever-popular children's book character Winnie the Pooh, with the child, Christopher Robin, based on his son of the same name.
