Large baseball art print created by noted illustrator Hibberd Van Buren Kline in 1909. The print, titled "Two Men Down," pictures a game-in-progress scene with the pitcher in windup about to deliver a pitch to the waiting batter. The artist's name appears in the lower right corner. A 1909 copyright date, and the lithographer's credit, "Close, Graham & Scully, Inc.," appear in the lower left corner. This is one of two baseball art prints created by Kline at the time, with the other titled "Home." He also produced a similar series of football prints and is known for his sports artworks. The print, produced on heavy paper stock, measures 43x14.75" (visible dimensions) and displays a small chip in each corner, a few moderate border tears and holes, and a few light surface blemishes. Very Good condition overall. Framed to total dimensions of 47.25x19".
