The colorful image of famed Tin-Pan Alley composer Jack Norworth is featured on both the exterior and interior labels of this vintage cigar box. Norworth is best known today as the lyricist to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," which was written in 1908. Interestingly, it wasn't until more than thirty years later, in 1940, that Norworth attended a Major League baseball game. The cigar box (8x5.5x2.5") displays heavy wear, including a large horizontal crack to the lid that affects both labels. A portion of the crack on the cover has been repaired with clear tape. In Fair condition overall, but still very presentable. Accompanying the cigar box is a real-photo postcard of Norworth that he has inscribed in blue ink (grading 9/10) on the reverse (VG).
