A master craftsman is caught in the act in this original, one of a kind, from-the-camera glass plate negative featuring renowned illusionist Harry Houdini. One of the keys to his fame was his willingness - and ability - to perform spectacular illusions amidst large crowds, and this was taken in New York from a stunt he did in the East River. Measures 7x5" with just one pinhole of image loss to the central image; another rabbit pulled from the hat of the extensive Brown Brothers photo archive.
