Rare original Type I photograph from the aftermath of the 1912 sinking of the Titanic depicts crew members from the Carapathia, who rescued Titanic survivors. They had their own soccer team which played in a benefit match to aid Titanic victims family and survivors played later that same year, with 13 players in the photo. Verso has vintage pencil notation stating, "The Carpathia F.C. who played in a match in aid of the Titanic Fund." Measures 8x6.5" with very minor image loss at bottom border, back also has stamp indicating that this is from the Brown Brothers photo collection. PSA encapsulated Type I authentic.
