We have never seen this item before, a 14 karat gold charm with 1947 on the back, crossing bats with a baseball below and diamond star above on the front. The letter N is on the left side of the bats and the letter L on the right of this 1" in diameter beauty. The 1947 All-Star game was held at Wrigley field in Chicago on July 8th, and included in the lot is ticket stub #3214. The game was "Played for the benefit of Major League Baseball Players Pension Fund," and some of National League luminaries who were selected to the team include; Stan Musial, Pee Wee Reese, Johnny Mize, Warren Spahn (his first All-Star appearance), and Enos Slaughter.
