More than a decade before John Elway led the Denver Broncos to their first Super Bowl championship, he guided them to the big game in 1986, when AFC Championship rings such as this 14k gold example were distributed to players and other members of the organization. This particular size 10 ring was presented to GM John Beake, and it is engraved inside: "14k, Jostens." There are 13 diamonds inside the "A" and three additional on each side. The left shank reads "Beake, NFL" while the right reads: "AFC Champions, Broncos 23, 1986, Browns 20, Super Bowl XXI." Denver fell to the New York Giants in that season's Super Bowl.
