Hall of Fame third baseman Mike Schmidt played his entire Major League career with the Philadelphia Phillies and remains one of the premier third basemen to ever play the game of baseball. This Phillies pinstripe home jersey features a zipper front and was made for the 1983 World Series (which the Phils lost to the Baltimore Orioles). The front features the letter "P" on the left and Schmidt's number "20" on the right; the back sports Schmidt's nameplate above his number 20, which has since been retired by the Phillies organization. A patch celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Phillies appears on the left sleeve. A Wilson size 44 tag is sewn on the left front tail above a small hang tag reading "tapered" and a sewn-on team tag reading "84 2." Schmidt's name also appears on an embroidered tag in the collar. The jersey shows light use, as might be expected of a jersey made for the World Series. A great item from one of baseball's greats.
