Glorious official American League baseball straight from the August 25th, 1919 game between the Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Athletics. The ball has been painstakingly covered with beautiful black fountain ink detailing batting orders for both teams, the score, and the method that the ball was obtained, which reads "Ball pitched by George Uhle of Cleveland - Ball hit by Pitcher Johnson of Philadelphia." Ball exhibits strong toning but is still in excellent condition considering its age. Official stamps have mostly faded, but the fountain ink remains relatively strong with only a few instances of ink loss and chipping. All text is still highly readable. Appears to have a faded signature - could be from Geary, Allen or Hasty.
