In his first three seasons, Neely toiled fruitlessly in Vancouver, but then came a trade to Boston where he became the best power forward in the game, until he was forced to retire with a chronic hip injury. In 1990 he led the Bruins to the top of the heap in points but they succumbed to the Oilers in the Finals. The black road jersey is a CCM size 52, with Alternate Captain’s “A” on front. Both sleeves have his number “8” and Bruin mascot patches. The reverse has “Neely” and “8”. Excellent wear, with lots of pilling in the collar from the unshaven HOFer’s punishing use. Noticeable wear on elbows and under armpit area as well. Several board burns and numerous small holes from sticks on bottom portion near hem. Finals patch added to upper breast area, but obviously this shirt was worn many times before the B’s faced the Oilers for the Cup.
