Stevie Y. is the longest-serving captain in NHL history, functioning in that capacity for the Red Wings since 1986-87. He was only 21 when the honor was bestowed on him. This is pretty much unheard of in any sport. He’s accomplished everything there is to accomplish in the game, with Stanley Cup rings, goals by the bushels, and the respect of all who played with and against him. Jersey is white with red trim and has his captain’s “C” above the Red Wings logo on the chest. “Maska” tag in collar. His #19 on both sleeves. Reverse has Yzerman above “19.” Bottom band has “Eastside” on the left and “CCM” on the right. Outstanding game use with puck and stick marks in a few places, not to mention what appears to be a fairly large blood stain under the Red Wings logo. Obtained directly from the team many years ago in a bulk purchase of Red Wings jerseys, and comes with a letter of authentication.
