An early set of Beatles autographs, all dating from their last year of “anonymity”, 1963, when they were just one of a plethora of bands around Liverpool vying to be the next big thing. In America, no major label would even take on their records, leaving them to be distributed by tiny VeeJay Records. It would not be until late in the year, when Ed Sullivan was in England and saw them in concert, did the idea come about to put them on his show (and he had to be talked into it). Only then was the die cast for the Beatlemania of 1964. The rest isn’t just history; it’s the evolution of our modern culture. This special double matted framed (15x18”) piece features a yellow autograph page (4x4”) signed by Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and George Harrison. Signatures grade 9.5 out of 10. Also a newspaper clipping (3x4”) of Ringo Starr signed in 1963 grading an 8 out of possible 10.
