One half of the most dominant pitching duo in baseball history, Don Drysdale made a name for himself as an intimidator. His 6'5” frame would cast a long shadow towards homeplate as he unleashed screaming sidearm fastballs mixed with brow-raising brush back pitches. During one stretch of the '68 season he would throw an astounding 58.2 scoreless innings on his way to notching a record six consecutive shutouts. A workhorse throughout his thirteen year career with the Dodgers, he lead the NL in games started from 1962-65 and innings pitched from 1962-64. He wasn't afraid to swing the limber either, Drysdale batted .300 in '65 and is second only to Warren Spahn on the pitcher's all-time homerun list. We offer this exquisite piece of original art by artist J. Worth featuring Drysdale in his Dodger uniform. This acrylic masterpiece, worthy of Cooperstown and of the highest quality both in form and condition, beautifully custom framed to 30”x34”, EX-MT.
