He was one of the most dominating pitchers baseball has ever witnessed. The second winningest lefty of all-time, second on the all-time strike out list, and the first ever four time Cy Young winner. He owned batters with his seemingly unlimited arsenal of pitches and sneaky speed. Steve Carlton came into his own during the season of '68 and got the recognition he deserved by being named to his first of ten All Star games. More good fortune would follow that year as the Cards steamrolled through the playoffs setting up an opportunity to defend their World Title. Although the Tigers took the title Championship that year, nothing can detract from this Hall of Famers resume. Set upon a cardinal red stone at center of his 14K white gold ring is a St. Louis "St.L" logo surounded by "St.Louis Cardinals-National Champions" in raised lettering. On the left shank is "Carlton" over a baseball bat and cap design while on the right side is "1968", cardinal logo bird, and Steve's number, "32." Inner band stamped 14K and "LGB" (Balfour), Size 10. EX-MT. An unbelievable prize from one of the game's premier players.
