Stan Musial is one of baseball's all-times greats, and offered is a hoard of 100 Stan Musial cut signatures - one signature for every 36.3 hits in the Hall of Famer's illustrious career. Musial played 22 seasons, from 1941-44 & 1946-63 - all with the St. Louis Cardinals. In '45, he was in the U.S. Navy during World War II. An outfielder and first baseman, he had 3,630 hits and batted a lifetime .331, with seven NL batting crowns. He belted 475 home runs, was a 3-time World Champion, and a 24-time All-Star. Musial was renowned for his peek-a-boo batting stance in which the left-handed batter peeked over his right forearm to see the pitcher. Musial was from Donora, Pennsylvania, and he played on the Donora High School baseball team with Buddy Griffey, father of Ken Griffey Sr. and grandfather of Ken Griffey Jr. Musial was of high character and was supportive of Jackie Robinson's breaking of the Major League color line. Later in his playing career, the affable Musial became the co-owner of Biggie's Restaurant, a popular eatery in St. Louis, and whenever patrons from Donora visited, Musial made sure the visitors ate on the house.
The 100 cut Musial signatures are on pieces of paper averaging about 0.6x1.75". A few are larger. Stan the Man neatly signed the autographs in blue ballpoint ink. The signatures are nicely cut, but vary slightly in size. The signatures are in EXCELLENT condition.
