Cleveland Indians road jersey worn by outfielder Al Luplow in 1964. The gray zipper-front vest-style flannel jersey features the Indians team patch on the left breast and the number "22" on the right breast and reverse. All numerals are applied in navy tackle twill. A "MacGregor 42" label appears in the collar. Located on the interior left front tail is a second "MacGregor" label that reads "Set 2 1964." Despite the fact that Indians jerseys did not feature names during this time, Luplow was the only player to wear number "22" for the club in 1964. The jersey is original as issued and displays light wear. The zipper remains fully functional. After two promising seasons with the Indians in 1962 and 1963, Luplow spent most of 1964 in the minors. Appearing in just nineteen games that season, Luplow batted .111, with no home runs and 1 RBI. He retired in 1967 with 33 home runs, 125 RBI, and a .235 lifetime average.
