Scarce 1925 Golden Jubilee baseball originating from the family of former Major League player Jake Daubert. The Official National League (Heydler) baseball features the portrait images of the first eight National League presidents affixed to the sweet spot and adjacent side panels: Morgan Bulkeley, William Hulbert, A. G. Mills, Nicholas Young, Harry Pulliam, Thomas Lynch, John Tener, and John Heydler. Each portrait image includes the president's name and years in office. These balls were given as souvenirs to all who attended the National League's special 50th Anniversary banquet, held at the Astor Hotel in New York City on February 2, 1926. A few of the portraits display light abrasions and the ball is lightly soiled. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Daubert died on October 9, 1924, but obviously, one or more members of his family attended the banquet in 1925 (Daubert played with the Dodgers and was extremely popular with both his teammates and fans).
