A batting helmet worn by Cincinnati Reds shortstop Dave Concepcion during the 1970s. The helmet, made by ABC in Media, Pennsylvania, shows excellent signs of use with sweat staining on the inside padding. Concepcion's number 13 is written on the inside of the helmet and there is a red Concepcion label on the back side. A member of the Reds for his entire 19-year career, Concepcion won World Series titles in 1975 and 1976. The Venezuelan shortstop made 9 All-Star teams and was a 5-time Gold Glove Award winner. He is a member of the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and the team has also retired his number 13.
