Significant ticket from the New York Yankees' July 9, 2011, tilt with the Tampa Bay Rays includes a signature from Derek Jeter, who reached the 3,000 career hit plateau that afternoon. Measuring 6.5x2.5", the ticket displays slight fading but is otherwise crisp and sharp with no blemishes noted. Jeter has added his signature in bold black Sharpie, adding the finishing touch. The ticket is not graded but is encapsulated as PSA/DNA AUTHENTIC AUTO; in our opinion, the signature falls into the high grade 9-10/10 category. Never one to do things halfway, The Captain added a full chapter to his career accomplishments in this game, going 5-for-5, with his 3rd inning home run sending Yankee Stadium into hysteria; of the 33 players currently in the elusive 3,000 Hit Club, only three accomplished the feat via the long ball. His fifth hit of the day was an 8th-inning RBI single which gave the Bronx Bombers a 5-4 lead, with Mariano Rivera turning off the lights in the final frame.
