Beautifully signed black-and-white image features the legendary Ty Cobb. Measuring 4.25x6.75", the image displays a uniformed Cobb with bat in hand; the back is blank except for a printed "Baseball's Greatest Hitters" across the middle of the page. Thus, it's possible that it was a title page of a book (not exactly an original title, though we found a record of a 1950 tome of the same name which this may have come from). There are some dark spots from removed clear tape at the edges which has bled to both sides of the page. Nearly 40 years after Pete Rose broke Cobb's All-Time Hits record, nobody has approached either player's storied numbers, with many of Cobb's achieved in the Dead Ball Era; in fact, the closest active player is Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman, over 2,000 hits behind Cobb at this writing. The Georgia Peach has signed across his chest in his trademark green ink, and the piece has been encapsulated and PSA/DNA Certified as PSA/DNA AUTO GRADE MINT 9.
