Original Type I publicity photograph from the 1928 silent film "Speedy," starring Harold Lloyd and Babe Ruth. The photo pictures the pair together as Ruth points out a detail on the barrel of his bat. This photo was used in the production of Ruth's 1928 Contiero card (Italian issue), and is also from the same photo shoot that produced the image for Ruth's 1928 Ross Verlag postcard (German issue). Ruth had a hilarious cameo in "Speedy," as Lloyd, playing a New York cab driver, almost killed the Yankee star while frantically trying to get him to the ballpark on time for his game. The photo (7.25x9") displays both paper and adhesive residue along the top border of the reverse, a few small creases, a small diagonal tear in the upper left corner (no paper loss), and diagonal tear near the bottom right border that may have been repaired. There is also a small abrasion in the area next to Lloyd's left knee. Encapsulated as Type I Authentic by PSA.
