A right fielder, Evans had a lifetime MLB batting average of .272, with 385 home runs. In the time period during which at some point Evans game used the offered bat, he batted .293, with 21 homers and 111 RBIs in 1988 (when he was 9th in AL MVP voting), and .285, with 20 homers and 100 RBIs in '89.
