Displayed is a circa 1982 Bob Welch Los Angeles Dodgers game worn, signed, away jersey. Welch pitched for 17 Major League seasons: Los Angeles Dodgers (1978-87) and Oakland Athletics (1988-94). He has a Major League career record of 211-146, with a 3.47 ERA. He was a 2-time All-Star and a 2-time World Series Champion. He won a third World Series Championship as a pitching coach with Oakland. The 6'3" right-hander has the third most wins (137) of any Major League pitcher in the 1980s. In 1982, he had a 16-11 record with the Dodgers, with a 3.36 ERA. He won the AL Cy Young Award with the Oakland Athletics. Across the chest, the jersey has Dodgers in blue scripted, sewn-on lettering, with white trim. Under the team's name is 35, in red sewn-on numerals. Six silver-gray buttons run down the front. In the collar is a Goodman & Sons size 42 manufacturer's tag. On the back is WELCH in sewn-on blue, block letters with white trim. Beneath the player's name is 35 in blue sewn-on numerals, with white trim. The jersey is inscribed and signed on the front by Welch. He has inscribed Best Wishes before his signature, and 1982 below his signature. The jersey shows moderate use, and it is in excellent condition.
