Collection of forty-two film negatives, plus eight color transparencies, each picturing one or more members of the New York Yankees. The majority are original negatives, but the collection also includes several duplicate negatives and one duplicate transparency. Based upon the dates written on the sleeves, all the images capture players from the 1930s through the 1950s, though only a few date from the 1950s. While most picture common players, several Hall of Famers and stars are featured in the grouping, with a number of Yankees players pictured posing with members of other teams. Highlights include images of Joe McCarthy, Jacob Ruppert, Lefty Gomez, Whitey Ford, Tommy Heinrich, Spud Chandler, Red Ruffing, Myril Hoag, Red Rolfe, George Selkirk, Bump Hadley, Hank Bauer, and Bob Turley. Additional player images in the negative collection (sometimes more than once; different poses) include, Bill Knickerbocker, Ivy Andrews, Frank Makosky, Ernie Bonham, Ben Chapman, Mike Chartak, Babe Dahlgren, and Joe Glenn. Five of the transparencies measure 4x5" and picture, respectively Johnny Hopp (two examples), Billy Hunter (two examples), and game action (duplicate transparency). The remaining three transparencies measure 2.5x2.5". Two picture Whitey Ford on the mound during a game, while the other pictures a player sliding into third base. All the negatives measure 4x5". Four of the negatives have a strip of black tape applied to a border; otherwise they range in grade from Fair to Excellent, averaging Very Good.
