Collection of 122 film negatives, plus one color transparency, each picturing one or more members of the New York Giants. The majority are original negatives, but the collection also includes many duplicate negatives. Based upon the dates written on the sleeves, these images capture players from the 1930s through the 1950s. While most picture common players, several Hall of Famers and stars are featured in the grouping. Highlights include images of Carl Hubbell (4 examples), Bill Terry (5 examples), Bobby Thomson in the locker room on Oct. 2, 1951 (one day before his famous HR), Monte Irvin (6 examples, including 1949 rookie year), Hoyt Wilhelm, Sal Maglie, Al Dark, and Horace Stoneham together with Branch Rickey. Additional player images in the collection (many more than once; different poses) include, Harry Danning, Dick Coffman, Zeke Bonura, Dick Bartell, Bill Melton, Sam Leslie, Billy Jurges, Blondy Ryan, Harry Gumpert, John Witting, Burgess Whitehead, and Hal Schumacher. The one-color transparency pictures pitcher James Hearn. All the negatives and the transparency measure 4x5". Very Good condition overall.
