Displayed is a Reggie Jackson signed and inscribed Official American League Ball (Brown) that was presented to Pete Rose, the Major League's all-time Hit King. Jackson is a Hall of Fame right fielder who played 21 seasons in the Major Leagues, for the Kansas City/Oakland Athletics, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, and California Angels. Known as Mister October for his clutch postseason play, Jackson was a 14-time All-Star, 5-time World Series Champion, a 2-time World Series MVP, the 1973 AL MVP, and a 4-time AL home run leader who hit 563 career homers. Rose amassed 4,256 hits over 24 seasons in playing for the Cincinnati Reds, Montreal Expos, and Philadelphia Phillies. Rose was a 17-time All-Star, the 1963 NL Rookie of the Year, the 1973 NL MVP, and a 3-time NL batting champion. Rose is not in the Baseball Hall of Fame because of his being banned from baseball for gambling on baseball. Using blue ink from a ballpoint pen, Jackson wrote, Pete/You'll always be my man! 4256 They can't the (sic) touch this! Your (sic) the greatest/stay that way/Your friend Reggie Jackson - Mr. October Nov. 24, 1991. This ball came from Pete Rose's collection. The AL baseball is NRMT. The signature and inscription are 8/10. This is a very cool, one-of-a-kind baseball, from one Hall of Fame to another great player, who would be a Hall of Famer if not for his baseball gambling. Comes with PSA LOA.
