Displayed is an MLB Hall of Famers check collection of twelve (12) signed checks. The enclosed JSA letter indicates that this was a framed display, but the checks were taken out of the display. The signed Hall of Famers' checks: 1) Ted Lyons - Chicago White Sox right-hander who won 260 games. 2) Rick Ferrell - A catcher who played 18 Major League seasons in the American League for three teams, an 8-time All-Star. 3) Albert "Happy" Chandler, the third commissioner in baseball history; he was the Baseball Commissioner when Jackie Robinson broke the "Color Line" in 1947. 4) Eppa Rixey - Won 266 games pitching for the Philadelphia Phils and the Cincinnati Reds. 5) George Kell - great third baseman, mostly for the Detroit Tigers, who batted a career .308. 6) Mickey Cochrane, A 3-time World Series winner, a catcher who hit .320 lifetime. 7) George Sisler, a first baseman who played mostly for the St. Louis Browns, batted .340 lifetime and twice hit over .400. 8) Stan Musial - the great St. Louis Cardinals' outfielder and first baseman batted .331 lifetime, with seven batting titles. 9) Gabby Hartnett - Famed Chicago Cubs catcher was the 1935 NL MVP and batted .297 lifetime. 10) George Kelly - Extremely tall for his time, Kelly was 6'4" and aptly called "Highpockets," and starred during the 1920s, playing for five National League teams, mostly the New York Giants. He batted a career .297. 11) Bill Terry was a great New York Giants first baseman and the last National Leaguer to bat over .400. 12) Joe Sewell was an infielder who played most of his career with the Cleveland Indians. He batted .312 lifetime and was in the top ten in votes for the AL MVP Award in four different seasons. Nine of the checks measure 3.1x8.25". The George Sisler check has writing and his signature that are very faded. The Musial check has a small image of Musial, in his famed peek-a-boo batting stance. The check collection's signatures were written in black or blue ink. The checks are in EXCELLENT condition. The collection comes with a JSA LOA for the signatures.
