Very rare ticket stub dates to the 1913 Boston Red Sox home opener at Fenway Park against the Philadelphia Athletics. Measuring 1.5" by roughly 3.5", the stub is encapsulated by PSA with a grade of PR 1, though this does have a lot going for it. The grade reduction clearly stems from the erratic tear, and scrapbook residue on back; while there is some creasing present, the encapsulation remedies most of that issue and the stock does not at all appear to be over a century old, retaining its purple color and very clear print, making for excellent presentation. 1913 marked the second season of now-venerable Fenway, and the Sox' season opener was an inauspicious one, falling to the A's in a 10-9 slugfest before a clearly-rounded attendance listed as 20,000.
