Ticket stub from the second season of Boston's historic Fenway Park dates from the May 1, 1913 contest between the Red Sox and the Washington Senators. Ticket has been erratically torn with some discoloration of the purple card stock near the tear, extensive creasing and scrapbook residue on the back. The Sox prevailed in an 8-2 decision on that date as Hall of Fame center fielder Tris Speaker went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored. In another notable note, the "Big Train" Walter Johnson entered the game late - as a pinch hitter, striking out in his lone at bat. Johnson (who did occasionally play the outfield) ended the season with a 36-7 record and was named AL MVP. Stub is encapsulated by PSA as PR 1.
