Rare posters from two of the 1970s' most iconic films, The Godfather (1972) and Rocky II (1979). The Rocky II poster teases a follow-up from the blockbuster original with an 11x15.75" black cover with white letters reading, "$200,000,000 says he's earned another shot." Three more folds reveal a moviehouse poster of Sylvester Stallone as the title character from the legendary "meat locker" scene in the original. Also included is an immense approximately 40x56" fold-out movie poster from the 1972 release based on Mario Puzo's original book, The Godfather. Extra scarcity comes with this one for multiple reasons; the paper stock used shows some age toning at the edges with slight cracking and requires a delicate touch to unfold, but the interior contains the typical movie card info with a difference - this is the Italian version, with the title rendered as "Il Padrino." A separate, similarly-sized sheet, contains the top portion of the black background, including the red outline of the face of Academy Award-winning star Marlon Brando.
