Beautifully signed government photo postcard featuring singer extraordinaire Enrico Caruso. Sepia toned image depicts Caruso in costume from Puccini's opera, Girl of the Golden West, is signed in magnificent 8/10 black fountain ink, and postmark on back is dated December 11, 1911. Front is clean with slightly rounded corners while the back displays some scrapbook residue. Caruso made his fame in the early 1900s as an opera tenor, however his talent transcended that genre and he went on to create 247 commercially released recordings between 1902 and 1920.
