Original Type I photograph capturing Philadelphia Phillies manager Pat Moran and Boston Red Sox manager Bill Carrigan going over the ground rules with the umpires prior to Game 1 of the 1915 World Series held at Baker Bowl in Philadelphia on October 8th. An "Underwood & Underwood" credit stamp appears on the reverse, along with a portion of the original news caption. The Phillies defeated the Red Sox 3-1 in Game 1 as Grover Alexander scattered eight hits in the win. The Red Sox, however, won the next four games, each by one run, to win the Series. The crystal-clear photo (10x7.5") displays a few light creases and is in Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
