Paul O'Neill Louisville Slugger signature-model "C243" professional model bat dating from the Yankees' historic 1998 World Championship season. Graded GU 8.5 by PSA. The bat displays evidence of excellent use, including ball marks (some with blue-ink transfers), stitch marks, and cleat marks on the barrel, and an approximate ten-inch crack in the handle. A 16"-long wrap of white tape has been applied in a crisscross manner to the handle. A light coating of pine tar covers the tape. O'Neill has personally attested to the bat's game use by inscribing it "Paul O'Neill 21/98' Game Used" (9/10) in blue Sharpie on the sweet spot of the barrel. O'Neill enjoyed another banner season in 1998, batting .317 with 24 home runs and 116 RBI in leading the Yankees to a Major League record 114 wins and the first of three consecutive World Championships. Accompanied by a full LOA from PSA (GU 8.5) for the bat and a full LOA from JSA for the autograph.
