Press pass issued for Game 1 of the 1951 National League best-of-three playoff series between the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants held at Ebetts Field on October 1st. Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. This is one of only two examples of this rare press pass listed in the PSA Population Report, both of which are graded GOOD 2. The offered example, titled "Working Press," grants admittance to Run Rennie of the New York Herald Tribune and is numbered "14" in the lower left corner. In what was a foreshadowing of things to come, Bobby Thomson's two-run home run against Ralph Branca helped lead the Giants to a 3-1 win in Game 1 of the National League playoff series. The pass (4x2.5") displays several light creases and surface paper loss on the reverse.
