One of the most sought-after baseball cards, this Joshua Gibson gem comes from the latter days of his career when the Negro Leagues superstar suited up in Puerto Rico, issued after his death in 1947. A dominant catcher and lethal power hitter, Gibson is the most celebrated Negro Leagues star ever, and may have been the most talented player overall. He is believed to have hit approximately 950 home runs over the course of his career, though several of those likely came during exhibitions and barnstorming trips while he was a member of the Homestead Grays and Pittsburgh Crawfords. This is the only Gibson card ever manufactured, is extremely scarce today, and is a "must have" for any high end card collector. Graded PSA FR 1.5.
