A pair of beautifully handwritten letters from two legends of the squared circle. 1) Jim Corbett 1927 two-page signed letter. Handwritten in flowing black fountain ink and dated March 25, 1927, Corbett writes to console a friend upon hearing of his wife's sickness. On Hotel Peabody stationery, pages measure 5.87x9.37" with typical mailing folds, extremely light spotting, in EX condition. Includes PSA/DNA LOA. 2) Similar stationery from the Hotel Wayne by John L. Sullivan is dated December 27, 1906. Not quite as neat as Corbett's but the flowing fountain ink is crystal clear. Slight tears on the mailing folds are reinforced by tape on the back but still in outstanding condition considering its vintage. Comes with original mailing envelope with canceled stamp and "Important" in Sullivan's handwriting.
