From famed collector "King B" comes this large and thorough game issued bat collection with many being signed. Bernie a.k.a King B, was a spokesman for an appliance company that used Major Leaguers to promote their products. The man became friendly with many New York players, especially Joe Torre. All are issued unless stated otherwise: Thurman Munson, Willie Mays (post-career), Tom Seaver, Reggie Jackson, Joe Torre (game used), Joe Torre (store bat), Chris Chambliss (3), Dale Murphy (3), Ed Kranepool (game used), Rusty Staub, Bob Horner, Glenn Hubbard and Claudell Washington (game used). Two bats are signed by the entire 1984 Braves team including Murphy and Chambliss. The player's respective numbers are handwritten on the knobs or cups. Total of 13 are signed and most are inscribed to "King B." One of the Dale Murphy bats is signed by a few other Braves players.
