A nice, varied postcard collection of many well-known football players of the early 1950s, all on standard government issued postcards. Players include Tobin Rote, Frankie Albert, Mac Speedie, George Taliaferro, Charlie Conerly, Marion Motley, Johnny Lujack, Tom Fears, "Crazy legs" Hirsch, Kyle Rote, Em Tunnell, Otto Graham, Doak Walker, Lou Groza, Bobby Layne, Sid Luckman and Tom Landry, among others. All were signed in the early '50s and are by-and-large in great shape with only a few wrinkles or corner dings. A handful of the cards have some scotch tape residue on them that does not affect the autograph. A nice, nostalgic look at a time when a professional football player would think nothing of signing his name on the back of a postcard and just mailing it back to you.
