Brooklyn had its first Major League team, the Atlantics, in 1884. It eventually became the Dodgers, but it would be 72 years before Brooklyn had its first, and only, World's Championship. The pennant is 27" long, mostly in dark blue and white. Pennant's lettering says, "World Champs B'klyn Dodgers." While these pennants were being made, Dodger owner Walter O'Malley was already scheming to take the club to Los Angeles, but who knew? Some pinholes and missing tassels. Pennant features an approximately 4x6" image of Ebbets Field, with small touches of green, yellow and a light blue. Nice keepsake from the one time Brooklyn fans didn't have to say, "Wait 'til next year."
