A one-in-a-million pennant for a one-in-a-million team. Perhaps the best and rarest post-war pennant ever made, this flag was sold at the 1955 World Series, when the Brooklyn Bums morphed into Cinderella and finally beat the hated rivals from the Bronx to claim their first World Series championship. Consisting of blue felt with gold-colored tassels, the pennant is distinguished by illustrations of Ebbets Field and Yankee Stadium, along with manager's names "Casey Stengel" and "Walter Alston." "New York Yankees" is on top with "Brooklyn Dodgers" below in white silk screen. On the left is a baseball with "World Series 1955" inside and "American League Champs" and "National League Champs" surrounding it. (EX)
